A 65-year-old West Chester Twp. man is out about $1,000 after trying to sell a vehicle on eBay.
A man was selling his car on eBay when the buyer informed him he put the deposit in his PayPal account but needed the seller to wire $1,000 to cover a hauling fee, according to township spokeswoman Barb Wilson.
The man wired $1,000 but the buyer never deposited the down payment.
Wilson said the suspect may be from Florida.
The incident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. May 31.
