Report: 7,400 Kids Drop Out Of High School

A new report that was recently released said that 7,400 kids drop out of high school each day across the country.

The report from Education Week shows that Ohio is responsible for over 200 of those drop outs.

However, the report holds some promising news for Ohio. Graduations increased 6.6 percent over a 10 year period between 1996 and 2006.

Nationally, the graduation rate increased nearly 3 percent during the same time.

Generally, the report was positive; however, a sharp decline in graduation from the class of 2006 across the country worries some experts.
