Fire severely damages Hamilton home

A residence in the 400 block of Beeler Boulevard in Hamilton has been deemed a total loss after a destructive fire. According to the Hamilton Fire Department the fire was started by discarded smoking materials. High winds caused the fire to quickly spread from the exterior of the house into the homes interior. One occupant of the home and one firefighter were transported to the hospital as a precaution, and all of the occupants of the home escaped prior to the fire department’s arrival.

FIRST REPORT:

Firefighters are on the scene of a fire that destroyed a home this afternoon on Hamilton’s West Side.

Dispatchers got the call at 2:25 p.m. for a structure fire in the 400 block of Beeler Boulevard. Hamilton Fire Department responded to the scene and received mutual aid from Fairfield and Ross Twp. fire departments.

Flames shot out from numerous parts of the home and smoke from the fire was visible for miles around.

No one is believed to have been at home at the time of the fire and no firefighters have been hurt while battling the blaze, according to dispatchers.
