Flames Tear Through City Barbeque In Centerville

Authorities said a fire broke out late Saturday night at the City Barbeque restaurant in Centerville.

The fire was reported by some people who noticed flames coming from the roof of the building.

Investigators said Graeter’s Ice Crème, which is located next door, suffered smoke damage. The owner said Graeter’s will reopen sometime this week.

Fire officials said City Barbeque suffered about $550,000 in damage.

At this time, investigators believe the fire started in the back of the restaurant. However, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
