Foiled Bank Robbery Lands 2 Teens In Jail

Detectives in Miami County said a possible bank robbery was foiled on Tuesday. They said the robbery was being planned out by two teenagers.

Jesse Minnich, of Piqua, and Charles Bruce, of near Pleasant Hill, were arrested on charges of inducing panic.

Investigators said the plan was to rob the Covington Savings and Loan branch in the village of Pleasant Hill. They said detectives were tipped off.

Authorities said the two high school 18-year-olds were arrested in a Piqua motel. They told officers that the robbery was just a joke.

The two teens were booked into the Miami County Jail.
