Former Roth Middle School Begins Demolition

Demolition crews will begin tearing down the former Roth Middle School on Thursday morning. The school is located on Hoover Avenue and will be the site of a new high school that is scheduled to open in 2008.

The demolition project is the first Ohio School Facilities Commission and Dayton Public Schools co-funded project, in which building materials will be recycled and used on the site.

The demolition is not expected to be complete until next April.
