Customers, 21 and over, would be allowed to consume a total of four tasting samples. A “tasting sample” would not exceed 2 ounces of beer, 2 ounces of wine, and a quarter ounce of a spirituous liquor, according to the bill.
The bill was introduced in early February and referred to the Government Accountability and Oversight Committee. After several revisions by both the committee and the House, it passed with a vote of 93-3, on Tuesday
Bill Dean (R), who represents District 74 which includes parts of Clark, Greene, and Madison County, voted no on the bill when it reached the House floor.
