From buses to lockers, Middletown Schools auctioning off old equipment

Middletown Schools is providing an opportunity for the public to take a piece of the building with them. A series of auctions will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9.

On Friday, the district will auction surplus buses and other vehicles, restaurant equipment, and architectural/structural elements. In order to participate in Friday’s architectural/structural elements auction, bidders will have to be prequalified. Prequalifying includes bidders have $1,000,000 liability insurance and the ability to safely remove items from the building.

On Saturday, there will be a general public auction that will allow everyone the opportunity to take a piece of history with them. Surplus furniture, doors, electronics, bookcases, old lockers, and other items will be sold to the general public.
