Gas prices continue to rise

Gas prices went up again in the Miami Valley over the last week.

Average retail gas prices in Dayton have risen 12.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.75 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton.

This compares with the national average that has increased 2.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.38 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $2.74, with prices falling. The cheapest gas, as of this morning, is $2.59 at the Valero on Valley Street near Rohrer Boulevard.

In Hamilton, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.75, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $2.65 at the Valero at Millville Avenue and Ohio Avenue.

In Springfield, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.74, with prices falling. The cheapest gas is $2.59 at the Marathon at Springfield-Xenia Road near Sparrow Road.
