Warmbier: NK detainee suffered 'extensive loss of brain tissue'
Rodman in NK: Basketball star takes fifth controversial visit to country
Other gifts included a travel collection of “Where’s Waldo?”, soap and two autographed Rodman basketball jerseys.
Rodman has been highly criticized for visiting North Korea, specifically in 2014 when he sang happy birthday to his “friend for life,” North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. He was also criticized for not discussing detained U.S. citizens in the country.
Rodman arrived the day Wyoming High School grad Otto Warmbier was released after a year in captivity. He was in a coma when he returned to the United States.
Rodman has spent his trip meeting North Korean athletes and watching the country’s men’s basketball team play.
