Greenville Police Chief Leaves For Greenhills

The city of Greenville is losing its police chief after the first of the year.

Chief Thomas Doyle, 51, is leaving Greenville for a position in Greenhills, Ohio, which is near Cincinnati in northern Hamilton County.

The move will return Doyle to his home county, where he began his career in law enforcement on the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. The population of Greenhills is 4,800 with a police force of 12 officers.

Doyle assumes his new job officially on Feb. 10, 2005. He has been on the Greenville police force for 25 years -- the last eight as chief.
