Shots were fired into a Dayton Mexican restaurant while customers were inside eating.

Just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dayton police were called to Taqueria Mixteca, 1609 East Third Street, after windows were shot at the eatery.

No one was injured in the incident.

Customers reported they heard the glass break, but did not see any vehicles or person shoot the window. Police did find a small hole in the window but it’s unknown yet what type of bullet or pellet may have caused the damage.

Around the same time, on nearby Terry Street, a 53-year-old man was hit in the arm with a BB gun pellet. No arrests have been made.

The two separate incident reports from Dayton police do reference each other, but police have not stated they are connected.
