The event is presented by Career Connection, a partnership of the Workforce Investment Board of Butler, Clermont and Warren Counties, and Easterseals Serving Greater Cincinnati.
Participating businesses include Access Counseling, Applied Mechanical Systems, Associated Builders and Contractors, Crescent, Ferguson Construction Company, Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, TP Mechanical Contractors and Youth Move.
Participating education partners include Butler Tech Adult Education, Cincinnati State Middletown, Elite Welding Academy, Marshall High School, Miami University Regionals and Warren County Career Center.
In-Demand Jobs Week, celebrated May 6-10, is an opportunity for students and job seekers to learn more about the rewarding and high-demand careers available locally.
According to OhioMeansJobs, more than 200 jobs in Ohio are considered “in demand,” based on labor market information, job postings on OhioMeansJobs.com, JobsOhio regional forecasts and employer forecasts. OMJ reports that 65 percent of the in-demand jobs in Ohio pay more than $50,000 a year. ApprenticeOhio graduates earn an average of more than $60,000 per year.
