This year’s Ohio primary election was unprecedented in many ways, including it was the state’s first attempt to require most voters to cast a ballot by mail.

The Dayton Daily News, Springfield News-Sun and Journal-News are gathering information on what problems voters faced and how they could be addressed.

Elections officials say this year’s presidential election in November will likely see an increased number of mail-in ballots as coronavirus concerns will likely persist. So it’s important to identify ways to improve the system as soon as possible.
