Lt. Gov. Jon Husted took the opportunity Friday during a press conference, to ask Ohioans which side they want to be on with Coronavirus: “selfish or selfless.”

He compared two stories he had heard this week; one of a fight that broke out at a local grocery store over toilet paper, and another of a state employee who committed a truly selfless act.

The individual chose not to go visit a family member on their death bed from cancer, in order to keep the system up and running for the 100,000’s of people who need it right now.

“I want you to put those back-to-back and think about it. Which side do YOU want to be on?”

Husted went on to say that tough times reveal our character, and asked that the community ask themselves how they would like to be remembered.

“It’s time to lift our spirits to the calling...and I know we are capable of doing that. Inspire others.”
