He said there are nearly 1,000 arrest warrants on file right now, many of which are for minor offenses and some warrants being over 10 years old.
“We have a lot of arrest warrants for minor offenses … and we’d like to get those resolved and off the books,” Moore said.
The department made its first post to Facebook Tuesday featuring six individuals with outstanding warrants. Moore said one of those six has since been located.
“We don’t want to run the risk of things falling through the cracks,” Moore said. “The number can be overwhelming to manage. We want to keep that manageable and make sure those warrants get served.”
