Injured mountain climber rescued

A UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency helicopter was called upon to assist the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team in the rescue of an injured climber on snow-covered Crib Goch in Snowdonia, Wales, on March 7.

The man, who was climbing with two companions, fell and suffered a dislocated shoulder, according to the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.

Due to the extreme conditions, the mountain rescuers called in support from the coastguard and the man was carried to safety.
