2 Injured When Car, Bus Collide In Clark Co.

Authorities said two people were injured when a school bus was hit head-on by another vehicle. The accident happened at a bus stop on Tuesday morning in the 2900 block of Springfield-Jamestown Road in Springfield Township.

Parents rushed to the scene after learning that their children were still on the bus when the accident happened.

Investigators said the bus was stopped when an inattentive driver failed to stop, clipping a small Honda in the rear, sending it head-on into the school bus.

The bus, from the Clark Shawnee School District, was filled with elementary students, one of whom was slightly injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Medics said the driver of the Honda was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Witnesses said the school bus driver was doing absolutely the right thing when it was hit.
