iPhones taken in Cricket Store robbery

Police responded to a breaking and entering call early Thursday morning at the Wilmington Avenue Cricket phone store.

The suspects threw rocks to break the bottom glass of the front doors shortly after 5 a.m. at 548 Wilmington; the security alarms had not been set off, according to the Dayton police report.

Any possible suspects fled before officers arrived.

Officers contacted the owner and found that several phones had been stolen, including six iPhone4s, according to the report.

Police said the alarm system must have been malfunctioning at the time of the break-in because it did activate once officers entered the store.
