Judge Hands Down Sentence In Fatal Crash

Emotions ran high in a Greene County courtroom on Wednesday as a man learned his fate for causing a crash that killed a Central State student and critically injured another.

The crash happened last December in Xenia Township near the intersection of Brush Row and Stephenson roads.

Kevin Jones was behind the wheel when he ran a stop sign and hit a tanker truck. One of his passengers died, while the other suffered life-changing injuries.

Jones was sentenced to 4 and half years in prison. He was convicted of aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.

Timesha Swift, 18, died at the scene. Alexandria Daniels was taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital.
