In the wake of his run for the GOP nomination for president, Ohio Gov. John Kasich is releasing a new book — his fourth — titled “Two Paths: America Divided or United.”

The book will be published April 25 in hardcover, ebook and audio, which is read by Kasich himself.

Employing lessons from the presidential campaign trail and his political career, Kasich “takes aim at news media bias and the constant race for ratings, gerrymandering and redrawing of voting districts, ramifications of living in a post-truth environment, the proliferation of ‘fake news,’ and the danger of political leaders telling constituents only what they want to hear whether it’s true or not,” according to St. Martin’s Press, publisher of the book.

Kasich, who is in the final two years of back-to-back terms as governor, was the last traditional Republican standing in the primary against Donald Trump. Kasich dropped out of the race in May 2016 but refused to endorse Trump and rebuked the now-president after a hot mic video emerged showing Trump making vulgar comments about grabbing women by the genitals because his celebrity allows him to do so.

“Donald Trump is a man I cannot and should not support,” Kasich said at the time. The governor attended President Trump’s inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C. last month.

Kasich writes in the new book: “ Maybe like me you’ve become frustrated at the tone of our national conversation. How did this happen? When did this happen? And, what are we going to do about it?…We’ve got to recognize that the very real problems facing this country cannot be ignored. We cannot be confused or distracted by bitterness and rancor. We cannot allow exclusion to take the place of inclusion. We cannot accept distorted truths and half-baked notions simply because they make us feel good — or, because they make us forget for a moment how we really feel. We must hold fast to our principles as a society, because without them we’re lost.”

It marks his first book since 2010. Kasich previously authored ‘Courage is Contagious,’ ‘Stand for Something: The Battle for America’s Soul’ and ‘Every Other Monday.’
