Dorsey co-hosted “Hawkeye and Dorsey in the Morning” on KSCS 96.3 FM in Dallas before retiring in December.
Dorsey was a 1966 graduate of LaSalle High School in Cincinnati. He started spinning country records in 1977 at WONE in Dayton, according to his biography on the school’s website.
He worked five years in Dayton before heading to Texas where he became a well-known radio personality.
