The flooding happened at the Life Enrichment Center on North Findlay St. in Dayton.
Officials said sometime Saturday night, a pipe burst on the third floor and water cascaded down into the basement kitchen and cafeteria that just started serving hot meals three weeks ago.
Jeff Sorrell, Director of the Life Enrichment Center, said cleanup is underway and it will be expensive.
However, he is even more concerned that the agency may have to stay closed the remainder of the week. Sorell said, "We have a lot of people who depend on us on a weekly basis. I'm more concerned that we aren't able to serve our clients."
The agency serves between 500 and 700 clients every week.
