A Dayton-area chef has snagged two awards for his mastery of pork at a statewide competition.
The event was the Ohio Pork Council’s Taste of Elegance Chefs Competition and Reception that was held earlier this month in downtown Columbus — and which drew more than 200 attendees, including legislators, Ohio Department of Agriculture and Ohio Farm Bureau officials, and representatives from the pork-producing industry.

Each of the three chefs who participated in the event prepared an appetizer and an entrée featuring pork.
Elizabeth Wiley, founder and owner of Meadowlark, praised Braun and other Meadowlark team members that assisted with the preparation and serving at the event.
