College credit program sets information sessions for students, parents

The College Credit Plus program is open to 7th through 12th grade students where students have an opportunity to earn college and high school credits simultaneously.

ENGLEWOOD – Northmont City Schools will be hosting three separate sessions about their College Credit Plus program in the Northmont Community Auditorium in the high school, 4916 National Rd.

The three sessions will be:

• Monday, Feb 13 at 6 p.m.

• Tuesday, April 11 at 1:30 p.m.

• Thursday, April 13 at 7:30 a.m.

The College Credit Plus program is open to 7th through 12th grade students where students have an opportunity to earn college and high school credits simultaneously. The meetings on the program will discuss the opportunities in the 2017-2018 school year while reviewing advantages and disadvantages of the program.

Attendance of the student and parents at any one of the meetings is mandatory if interested in the program for the following school year.

Written notification of the student’s intent to participate is due to the school by April 1. Forms can be found in Northmont Middle School Counseling Center and the Northmont High School Counseling Center after Feb. 1.

Current College Credit Plus students and parents during the current school year are not required to attend a meeting but still must submit an intent to participate form by April 1.
