3 people considered for vacant Carlisle school board seat

The Carlisle Board of Education will meet in special session at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning to fill a vacant board seat.

Superintendent Larry Hook said three people have applied for the seat David Clay vacated last month.

Clay had served on the board for the past 10 years and his current four-year term expires on Dec. 31.

The candidates include former board member James Campbell; Molly McIntosh, one of the bond issue co-chairs; and resident Shawn McAtee.

That seat would be one of three open seats up for election in the Nov. 7 general election.

The special meeting will be held at the board administrative offices, 724 Fairview Drive.
