Osprey arrival at Air Force museum canceled

The arrival of a CV-22 Osprey at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force on Wednesday morning has been scrubbed because of weather concerns, a museum spokeswoman said late Tuesday afternoon.

A rescheduled date has not been set, according to Diana Bachert, a museum spokeswoman.

The tilt-rotor, turboprop aircraft can hover like a helicopter and fly horizontally like a plane.

The CV-22 had arrived from Hurlburt Field, Fla., and was set to be put on display in the museum’s restoration hangar next month until a fourth gallery is added to the main museum complex in 2015, an official has said.
