2013's popular costumes: Twerking, 'Duck Dynasty,' 'Sharknado'

A controversial dance move is the inspiration for some of the Halloween costumes being sold this year.

Spirit Halloween store officials said one of its most popularly sold costumes is the "Twerkin' Teddy" -- an embroidered leotard with a smiling-teddy bear on it, as seen worn by Singer Miley Cyrus on the recent MTV Video Music Awards.

Another costume selling this season is the "Twerk Suit" -- a black and white striped suit jacket and pants for men, worn by Singer Robin Thicke during his VMA performance with Cyrus. It's also known as the "Beetlejuice" suit.

Other costumes inspired by pop culture and trending on internet search lists this season include characters from the reality show "Duck Dynasty," minions from "Despicable Me 2," Cartoon-Network licensed costumes, the character Walter White from the show "Breaking Bad," Grumpy Cat, Iron Man and sharks -- influenced by the movie "Sharknado."
