The Butler County OVI Task Force tonight will be conducting its second sobriety checkpoint of the weekend.
The checkpoint will start at 10 p.m. and end no later than 2 a.m. on state Route 4, specifically northbound South Erie Highway at Hanover Street in the city of Hamilton, according to a news release.
There also will be patrols in the area that combined are part of law enforcement’s effort to reduce impaired driving-related crashes resulting in injuries and fatalities.
Ohio law requires that law enforcement announce the checkpoint times and locations ahead of time.
