I-675 in Beavercreek reopens following multiple-vehicle accident

UPDATE @ 12:40 a.m: I-675 has reopened in Beavercreek following a multiple-vehicle accident that occurred late Thursday, officials confirm.

The accident, involving as many as five vehicles was dispatched around 10:22 p.m. on the southbound lanes.

According to police, the truck cap from a pickup flew off, along with equipment (tools) and other items, which caused vehicles behind it to hit the debris.

No word on if any injuries were reported.

I-675 South has been shut down to deal with a multiple-vehicle accident in Beavercreek.

Police are directing traffic off the interstate at the Col. Glenn Highway exit until further notice.

The accident was dispatched about 10:22 p.m. and involves as many as five vehicles. We have not heard of any injuries.

Beavercreek police are telling us the truck cap from a pickup flew off, along with equipment (tools) and other items, and vehicles behind it hit the debris. Trailing vehicles became involved in the collision.

There is debris all over the interstate and that is why the southbound lanes have been shut down, police said.
