Pike Twp. fire crews requested the help of multiple area fire departments, including a 5,000-gallon water tank from Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

Hazmat crews from Springfield also responded because of oil drums in the buildings.

"Before we even got here this morning, on our way to the firehouse, we could see the flames from (Ohio) 41, which is about a half-mile from here," said Pike Twp. Fire Chief Gerry Donnelly, who called the fire the worst in the township in at least the past decade.

The owner of the business declined to talk, but he did post a message about the fire on social media.

Donnelly said the cause of the fire and damage estimate were not available, but that investigators will preliminarily suspect an electrical issue.
