Dale Wren has been approved as the new principal of Beavercreek High School starting with the 2020 - 21 school year, moving up from his post as principal of Ankeney Middle School, the Beavercreek Board of Education decided at its meeting Tuesday night.

Wren has led Ankeney since 2015.

The 1990 Beavercreek High School grad was an assistant principal at the high school from 2013 to 2015. Prior to becoming an administrator, he served as a special education teacher at the high school 17 years.

He earned his Master of Science degree at the University of Dayton.

"No one is better suited for this critical leadership role than Dale Wren,” said Paul Otten,

Once the board approves Wren, district officials will begin their search for the next Ankeney Middle

School principal. District officials hope to identify and recommend a candidate by early spring.
