MIDDLETOWN — Middletown police recently signed warrants for the arrest of six people in connection with an ongoing drug investigation in the city’s 2nd Ward.
The investigation was initiated in the fall of 2008 due to complaints from residents and businesses of drug sales at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and Yankee Road, according to Middletown police Sgt. Jim Cunningham.
Warrants were issued for the following people:
• Daruss Calhoun, 28, 600 Seventh Ave., for three counts of loitering in the aid of a drug offense. He was in custody Wednesday, Nov. 25, according to police.
• Earl Quinn Bryant, 37, 1200 Young St., two counts loitering in the aid of a drug offense.
• Kevin Ray Jones, 49, 1620 Central Ave., two counts loitering in the aid of a drug offense.
• Vernisa McGee, 51, 910 Centennial Ave., driving under suspension (drug).
• Charles Lewis, 19, 1408 Fairmount Ave., driving under suspension (drug).
• Cary Dillingham, 29, 822 10th Ave., loitering in the aid of a drug offense.
