Attorney general warns of scammers posing as coronavirus contact tracers

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost warned Ohioans about scammers posing as coronavirus contact tracers in an attempt to steal personal data.

State and local health departments are contacting people as they attempt to reach those who may have been exposed to the virus.

However, Yost noted that they will never ask for sensitive information, such as a Social Security number or bank account number, over the phone.
