Backpack outreach provides school supplies

Unity of Dayton in Huber Heights partnered with the YWCA Women’s Shelter in downtown Dayton to supply backpacks and school supplies to children of mothers staying at the shelter.

More than 40 filled backpacks and a $345 check were presented to Tyra Jackson, interim CEO of the women’s shelter, on Aug. 6. STEVEN MATTHEWS
