Monia Thomas, Jaia’s mom, thanked everyone for their support and donations at the balloon release.

“We having a balloon release to remember my baby Jaia. She passed away last night, and I just want to thank everybody for coming out, I didn’t know so many people loved her,” she said.
Thomas says Jaia’s family includes many siblings and her grandma who are there to support her.
“I’m just trying to take it a day at a time,” she said. “We just wanna thank everybody for coming out to help me through this time in need.”
A date or time for the funeral service has not yet been set.
