Nobody was hurt in the robbery, which took place shortly before 4:30 p.m.
The bank robber did not show a weapon, but suggested he had one, Dayton police Sgt. Kelly Hamilton said.
The bank teller gave the robber several bundles of cash, and he then casually left the store and appeared to drive north on Brandt Pike, Hamilton said.
The bank robber had a passenger waiting in the getaway car ; police say it was a newer blue or purple Chevrolet Malibu in Kroger’s fire lane.
