Beavercreek to put on ‘Our Town’ play

Beavercreek High School students are ready to take us on a journey to Grover’s Corners, N. H., and let us peek into the lives of the residents in the early 1900s.

The school’s thespians will be presenting Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town,” at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 28 and 29 and Feb. 4 and 5 at the Beavercreek High School’s Alumni Auditorium at 2660 Dayton-Xenia Road.

The play has two levels of setting — the stage itself and Grover’s Corners — and three acts, covering daily life, love and marriage, and death and loss.

Central to the story are the Gibbs and Webbs families, specifically George Gibbs, a doctor’s son, played by Ian Measures and Emily Webb, the daughter of the town’s newspaper editor and George’s future wife, played by Stephanie Snoeberger.

The cast includes Caitlyn Shiner as the stage manager, who narrates the story.

The rest of the Gibbs family is portrayed by Jacob Brausch, Julia Gomez and Julie Locker, while the rest of the Webb family is played by Ande Wolfe, Kieran Smith and Rushi Panchal.

The cast also includes Zoe Grieze, Jacob Pate, Elisa Nordmeyer, Katherine Harvey, Joe Marx, Amanda Richards, Robyn Davis, Haven Bradam, Mirina Hill, Brett Nelson, Josh Willey, Erica Curtis, Courtney Fields, Mary Casci, Alyssa Caprul, Megan McConnell, Heather Brodman, Andrea Rose, Kathryn Suttling and Ashlyn Steinaman, as well as two BHS staff members, Angela Creech and George Grizzard.

The show’s director is Jon Kochensparger and Courtney McDowell is the art and scenery designer.

The technical staff includes student directors Kari Hattabaugh, Rachel Kochensparger and Ryan Rushing with Kristina Enix as the stage manager. Joshua Ahner is the assistant stage manager and the student technical director is Kathrynn Theopolos.

The set/stage crew chief is Ben Kirk and his crew consists of Nancy Aleccia, Lauren Bailey, Briana Bauer, Stephanie Booker, Christina Crawford, Brianna Durand, Niki Riegel, Makayla Rose, Daniel Shurts and Katherine Tripple.

The light chief is Rebecca Browning and she is assisted by Alex Bernhard while Kala Stephens is the sound chief and she is assisted by Miguel Gonzalez-Feliciano.

The prop chief is Jordan Coffman and the prop crew consists of Lorrin Bush, Gabrielle Goeller and Alex Hack.

The costume chief is Deepa Gollamudi and her crew consists of Whitney Aisenberry, Cindy Atkinson, Michele Begley, Caitlin Hayes, Elizabeth Ludvigsen, Shilo Nelson and Emily Weekes.

The make-up chief is Emily Warren and her crew includes Hayley Atkinson, Christine Baird, Sharon Coutinho, Kenzie Ipsen, Erin Lang and Madison Susey.

The business crew, led by Elizabeth Bish, consists of Jordan Buffington, Taylor Fallis, Odette Gutierrez del Arroyo, Kyle Laferty and Rob Presdore.

The show’s dramaturges, those responsible for the show’s research and development, are Elisabeth Ludvigsen, Madison Susey and Emily Warren.
