Connie Little, student nutrition supervisor for Beavercreek City Schools, works year-round to create meals for all students in the district while following the national school nutrition guidelines.

“What goes into that is a considerable amount of attention to calories, saturated fats, trans fats, and sodium”, said Little.  “We make sure all the grains are whole rich, so the meals are healthy for the kids to grow up on and to learn on”.

Her hard work, coupled with the attention to detail in deciding healthy food items for the students has allowed Little to not only be recognized on a state level, but a national level.

She beat out 57,000 members across the country, all vying for the title.
