Bellbrook police sergeant laid to rest after funeral service

UPDATE @ 5:25 p.m. (March 2):

Funeral services for Patrol Sergeant Brian Meade with the Bellbrook Police Department were this morning and he was laid to rest this afternoon.

Meade passed away after battling esophageal cancer.

Update@4:42 a.m. (March 1):

Funeral arrangements for Meade have been scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1167 Highview Dr. in Fairborn. The service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the same church.

There will be a procession to Cavalry Cemetery in Dayton after the service.

A Bellbrook Police Department sergeant has died following a battle with esophageal cancer.

Patrol Sgt. Brian J. Meade died around noon Sunday, the police department posted on social media.

“Brian’s family and all members of the Bellbrook Police Department extend a very grateful ‘thank you’ to the entire community for your prayers, encouragement, and donations over the past months,” the post read.
