Bike through Springboro at sixth annual event

The sixth annual Bike the Boro features 2.25-mile, 10-mile and 16-mile rides for cyclists of all ages to ride through the city.

The sixth annual Bike the Boro features 2.25-mile, 10-mile and 16-mile rides for cyclists of all ages to ride through the city.

On Saturday, August 31, bike enthusiasts of all ages can participate in Bike the Boro and the Big Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Park, 195 Tamarack Trail.

The sixth annual Bike the Boro features 2.25-mile, 10-mile and 16-mile rides for cyclists of all ages to ride through the city. The 10 and 16-mile rides will have rest stops and support and follow riders.

Along with the rides, Bike the Boro features bicycle and helmet giveaways, helmet fittings, and exhibitors including bike shops and bicycle education.

The Big Event festival includes bounce houses, a climbing wall, Safety Town, Springboro Police, Clearcreek Fire, Warren County SWAT, K-9 demonstrations, equipment and vehicles.

Bicycles for All, a nonprofit that provides affordable used bicycles to the Dayton community, will be available to accept gently used donated bikes.

This event is free, but registration is encouraged.
