Taylor told deputies he and a woman friend were drinking and got into an argument, after which she left, and a short time later the woman’s son and another male showed up at his back door threatening him, according to the statement of facts on file with Xenia Municipal Court.
The male who accompanied the woman’s son reported that when they knocked on the door an argument ensued and Taylor threatened to shoot if they didn’t get off his property, according to the court record.
The witness told deputies when he heard what sounded like a gun being loaded he ran away, but then heard gunfire, according to the court record.
The woman’s son had been shot in the abdomen. He and the other male managed to flee to a nearby residence.
Taylor told deputies one of the two was trying to enter his home through a window and he defended himself because he “feared for his life,” according to the court record.
