Bradford man gets 21 years for child rape

A Bradford man will spent the next 21 years in an Ohio prison on one count of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition. He entered pleas of guilty to all three charges in a plea deal last month.

Justin Cain, 36, will also have to spend the rest of  his life checking in every 90 days with the sheriff in the county where he is residing for life once released from prison.

Judge Christopher Gee in Miami County Common Pleas Court in Troy sentenced Cain to the maximum amount of time in prison allowed by law. That would be 21 years. The Judge also said he will serve 5 years on porbation when released from prison at age 57.

The victim was a girl under the age of ten. In Court her mother concluded her comments to Judge Gee by stating, "I ask the Court to give the maximum sentence in this case and give my daughter the justice she deserves."

From the Bench prior to sentencing Cain Judge Gee said, "If you have any desire to live among society you will use your time in prison to confront the root causes of your depraved conduct. If you don't," said a stern Judge Gee, "you will alway represent danger to others.

At the end of the sentencing Judge Gee simply walked off the bench without saying to Cain his usual closing comment, "good luck to you, sir."
