MORE: Brookville I-70 overpass to close for months for $5.3M project
Brumbaugh Construction was awarded the contract in the amount of $5.3 million. The bridge is being upgraded from two to three lanes, paid for by The Ohio Department of Transportation.
Additional costs of the bridge have been paid for by the city and a grant. To date, the city has contributed $205,419 in matching funds to upgrade lighting and piers at the corners of the bridge.
Brookville received a Transportation Alternatives Grant for $320,000 through the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission that covers 70 percent of the lighting costs.
