Butler County United Way names interim director

HAMILTON — Butler County United Way officials announced today, Feb. 3, that Jan Troutman has been named interim director of the nonprofit agency.

The United Way’s board of trustees voted unanimously Wednesday to temporarily appoint Troutman president while the organization searches for a permanent replacement for Maureen Noe. Last month, Noe announced her resignation after accepting a post as the president and CEO of the Heart of West Michigan United Way in Grand Rapids. Her last day with the organization is Friday.

Troutman joined the Butler County United Way in 1981 as an office coordinator. She transitioned into positions with significantly increasing responsibility until she was named vice president of finance and operations in 1998 and named chief financial officer in 2007, according to a news release from the agency.

Troutman celebrated 30 years with the United Way on Jan. 27 and will continue her duties as CFO during this transition period, officials said.

“We are fortunate to have Jan on board during this transitional period. Her experience and her passion for Butler County United Way’s mission made this choice an easy one” said Chris Worrell, chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Worrell indicated that the search for a permanent president and CEO is in progress and that the organization is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates.

“While we have already received resumes from a number of outstanding individuals, we expect our search could take some time to complete,” he said.

Interested candidates can send their materials to: Chris Worrell, Board Chairperson; Butler County United Way, 323 N. Third St., Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
