Sage will be in charge of career technical programs at the D. Russel Lee Career Technical Center, as well as those located in Butler Tech’s 10 associate school districts.
FAIRFIELD TWP.— Butler Technology and Career Development Schools has selected Laura Sage as its new vice president of Secondary Workforce Education. Sage will begin immediately, filling a position which became available when former Vice President Dan Schroer was hired as superintendent at Greene County Career Center.
Sage was first hired at Butler Tech in 1995 and since 2003 has been the principal of Options Academy Wokini, Butler Tech’s alternative education program serving Lakota Local Schools. As principal, Sage implemented numerous innovative educational initiatives, resulting in Wokini receiving the National Droput Prevention Center’s Crystal Star Award for National School of Excellence.
