All Bob Evans Restaurants in the region will offer 30 percent off the entire check – dine-in or carry out – to those who present a coupon on Monday, April 18.
“As a general rule, there is not a lot of celebrating when it comes to paying income taxes,” Matt Harsh, vice president of brand marketing at Bob Evans, said in a release. “On a day when many taxpayers will be doling out money, Bob Evans wants to give back to our loyal guests and offer a special discount on your favorite farm-fresh meal.”
The Tax Day discount will be valid all day on April 18 at Bob Evans restaurants. But to receive the offer, guests must print or show the coupon, which can be accessed at www.bobevans.com/taxday. The Tax Day offer is not valid with other coupons or discounts, or on the purchase of a gift card or retail items.
And SONIC Drive-In locations are offering a "Half-Price Cheeseburgers" special on Monday, April 18. The offer is good only on single-patty, 1/4-pound cheeseburgers. It is NOT good on double-patty burgers, Deluxe, or Junior cheeseburgers. The offer is not good in conjunction with other offers. No coupon is necessary.
We checked with a local SONIC restaurant in Kettering and were assured that her location, along with others in her store’s franchise group, will be participating in the promotion Monday.
Local participating McDonald's restaurants in the Miami Valley will offer the following special on Monday only: customers who buy one Big Mac Sandwich or Quarter Pounder with Cheese can get a second one for 18 cents.

The Kona Ice in Central Dayton mobile unit will celebrate its "National Chill Out Day" promotion on tax day Monday by giving out free Kona Ice tropical shaved-ice treats and complimentary Hawaiian leis on Courthouse Square in Downtown Dayton from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
“The refreshing treat will ensure that there is no taxation without relaxation this tax season,” Kona Ice of Central Dayton owner Molly Eaton said in a release.
