Woman slams Volvo into tree in Darke County crash

A 21-year-old woman was injured in a crash this morning after she slammed her Volvo into a tree.

Crews were called at 8:50 a.m. to the 3900 block of Palestine Hollansburg Road in Liberty Twp., Darke County.

Preliminary investigation shows that driver Alison Klinger of Hollansburg was north on Palestine Hollansburg Road when her silver 1986 Volvo went off the right side of the roadway. Klinger over-corrected, lost control and struck a tree on the right side of the road, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Klinger was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition, deputies said.

Liberty Twp. fire and Tri Village Resue also responded to the scene.

FIRST REPORT

At least one person is injured after a car crashed into a tree in Darke County.

Crews were called shortly before 9 a.m. to the 4200 block of Koons Road, near Palestine Hollansburg Road.

According to initial reports, there was heavy damage on the driver’s side. A CareFlight medical helicopter was called to the scene.
