He and his friend ran to the front of the house and saw the car into the pole, but there was no driver in the vehicle, Brock said.
The entire block is currently without power, although DP&L was at the scene for about 45 minutes making repairs to the pole and removing the live wires from the ground. It’s not clear at this time when power will be restored.
Accidents frequently happens in that section of Willow Creek Pike whenever it rains, Brock said. His friend moved into his home about six months ago, and there’s been three crashes in that section, he said.
Wolf Creek Pike was blocked between Route 49 and Willowburn Avenue but has since reopened.

We are responding to a report of a single car crash in the 4900 block of Wolf Creek Pike in Trotwood early Thursday morning.
The car struck a tree and a nearby power pole, which caught on fire. There were several power lines on the ground, which were sparking.
Four Dayton Power and light trucks are at the scene to repair the pole and remove multiple power lines that are in the road.
Wolf Creek Pike, between Route 49 and Willowburn Avenue, is shut down.
It’s not clear if there were any injuries.
