‘Tis the season for potato sack slides, local rock group performances, chicken dinners and plastic cups of beer.
The annual Catholic season kicks off Friday, June 4, at Queen of Peace, 2550 Millville Ave., in Hamilton. The festival there takes place from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. It also takes place from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
The family-style chicken dinner is scheduled for Sunday.
On deck is the festival at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 5720 Hamilton Mason Road, in Liberty Twp. It’s scheduled for June 11-13. In addition to beer, the St. Max festival has a beach theme and will have hard lemonade for sale.
